When I was 20 years old, I co-founded my first startup: a lifestyle brand merging fashion & mental health awareness. By 22, I was featured on MTV and Buzzfeed, debut at New York Fashion Week, and was flying across North America for speaking engagements. But after 3 years of non-stop "start-up grind", I was completely burnt out.
So I left my startup (took two months off, moved back in with my parents, drank wine and watched Netflix), and then launched the Self-Care Sunday podcast: a series of interviews and personal reflections around mental health, entrepreneurship, social media, and self-care.
Along the way, I also created Blogger's Brunch, and hosted events and retreats in cities across Canada.
Now, my "day job" is working with other entrepreneurs, and brands, to create, consult and strategize. I've done it all (from designing websites to scrappy PR)... But my magic is in micro-influencer marketing. Having worked from both brand and influencer side, with partners like Joe Fresh, L'Oreal, Leesa, and Second Cup.
I'm currently writing my first e-book: a Micro-Influencer's Tell-All Guide to Working With Brands. You can get on the pre-launch list by signing up here:
